Welcome! Thanks for visiting the web site of the Southern Oregon Air Academy.
SOAA’s Headquarters are located at the airport in Grants Pass, Oregon. The idea for an educational experience built around aviation was introduced in 2015. Over the next several years students from middle schools in the Grants Pass area were invited to a “summer camp” where they participated in a hands-on week of immersion in the many fields that make up the aviation and aerospace industries. The success of the initial years’ camps, in conjunction with explosive growth that is projected for aviation over the next 20 years, has now led to the creation of the non-profit Southern Oregon Air Academy organization.
Our programs have now grown from summer camps to include after-school and in-school programming, for students across Jackson and Josephine Counties.
